Children's Ministry

The Children's Ministry is a place where learning about God is fun and exciting! We exist to show kids the love of Christ and teach them how to grow in their faith. We desire to invest in each child, making sure they know they are special and that God loves them. Our heart is that each child will have a personal and growing relationship with Christ.

Small groups meet each Sunday at 9:30am for children in Grades 1-4. From the moment they enter our facility, children receive loving attention from our welcome team and teachers along with a variety of activities that cater to their different interests and learning styles as we seek to instill foundational truths of our faith. Following Jesus’ commandment to make disciples, our curriculum is designed to train children in Christian discipleship.

At the same time, children in Grades 5-6 are invited into their very own coffee lounge and game room before gathering for large group time. Students also spend time in small groups of others their same age and gender to encourage discussion as they learn about following the Lord and making Him known.

After small groups, all children join us for the first portion of the 10:45am worship service alongside their parents. They'll spend a few minutes worshiping with you before we dismiss those in Grades 1-4 to Kids’ Worship for an age-appropriate worship time. It's a high energy worship experience just for kids with songs, games, skits, and a high impact Bible lesson each week.

Wednesday KICKS (Kids In Christ Keep Sharing) start each week at 6:00pm in our Worship Room (C201). It’s our goal to spend these evenings discipling our children in what it means to worship, be in community, and develop spiritual habits to help them share their faith with family and friends.

After a time together in corporate worship, we’ll split into small groups based on common interests where kids will have the opportunity to experience community with others. They’ll talk about spiritual habits, following Jesus in every day life, and how to share Christ with others.

Don’t forget that you can also take advantage of our Wednesday family dinner that’s served at 5:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Plates are $4 per person with a $12 family maximum. Sign up for meal notices at

The Joy Ministry exists to promote the spiritual growth of individuals with special needs and their families and to equip them in becoming full participants and contributors in the Body of Christ and their community.

On Sunday mornings, children in Joy Ministry are paired with a Joy Buddy to attend small group Bible study in the Children's Ministry area.

During worship, the Joy Ministry will work with families to provide optimal activities for your child. A Joy Buddy will assist your child in a worship experience as they attend either Joy Worship, Noah's Park (Kindergarten), or Kids' Worship (Grades 1-6).

Joy Worship is an alternative worship experience for those who are unable to participate in the 10:45 service, Noah's Park, or Kids' Worship. After the music portion of the 10:45 service, a separate classroom activity is provided adjacent to the sanctuary. It includes a short lesson with hand-outs, crafts, and snacks. There is one group for children and one for adults.

To be eligible for Joy Ministry, individuals should be:

  • at least 4 years of age
  • free of behaviors that create a risk to themselves or others in the supported environment that Joy Ministry can provide
  • unable to function unsupported within their age group
  • have a care provider present on the grounds while they participate in ministry events

Your child's safety is highly important to us. Our ministry uses a secure system for check-in and check-out to ensure all children only leave with known parents or guardians. You will be enrolled in the system and given a demonstration during your first visit.

There are many other things too numerous to list here. We'd love to tell you more about them, so join us this week!
